A man arrested in the December shooting of a cab driver has been charged with first-degree murder in a fatal stabbing, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

Semie Robinson, 30, of Pompano Beach, was initially arrested on attempted murder charges in the Nov. 18 shooting of cab driver Williamson Joseph, 43.

Now, Robinson is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Russell Buddie, 53, which occurred two days before Joseph's shooting.

BSO said Buddie's father found him wounded and lying in a pool of blood next to his truck at Atlantic Conditioning Supply on the morning of Nov. 16. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police believe Buddie was stabbed during a robbery.

According to police, DNA led investigators to Robinson in both cases. In the stabbing, BSO said, technicians matched DNA left at the scene of the stabbing with Robinson's DNA. In the shooting two days later, police said they found Robinson's DNA on the mouth of a Mountain Dew bottle and on a baseball cap left in Joseph's taxi.

Robinson is being held without bond at BSO's Main Jail.
